Peter Donkor

Peter is a Chartered Insurer and holds an Executive MBA in Risk & Insurance Management, MBA in Organisational Management and BSc degree in Mathematics. Prior to joining Planwell, he occupied key positions of accountability at Vanguard Assurance Company Limited and was part of the Technical team aside being Head of Risk Management & Compliance, Regional Manager, Branch Manager amongst others. He also ensured all branches complied with underwriting rules and guidelines.

Over the years, he has handled and performed various roles in almost all the core operational units within the Insurance space, spanning underwriting, Claims, Risk Management and Marketing. Peter is an experienced Insurance practitioner who is well known in the insurance business community.

As Chief Operating Officer of Planwell Insurance brokers business, Peter’s core responsibilities include creating and protecting shareholder value, maximising growth and improving business performance. He also provides leadership and expertise in developing any specialist skills that Planwell may require for its operations.
